Common Monsters of the United States

For the anniversary of the United States' bombing campaign in Iraq, the Double Elephant Press deployed this political satire in the form of a natural history. Large hand-colored etchings of treacherous beasts personify the societal mindset that encouraged this war. Shaped-text descriptions of the beastly behavior were printed on transparent abaca-fiber sheets which overlay the images.
